ABOUT ME
How I became a joyful mum and why it matters.
I started this website as a way of sharing my journey towards wellbeing. As a Christian I believed that Jesus came so that we could experience a full, satisfying and joyful life. Still I struggled with overwhelming thoughts and anxiety that left me feeling hopeless.
I knew that Jesus offered me more but I felt weary. ‘Claiming the victory’ – in reality denying my exhaustion – (as I had once been taught to do), felt more than I could manage.
It was in this state of exhaustion and overwhelm that I really began to understand grace. a grace that expects nothing of us. Well, nothing but surrender.
My faith and wellness journey now looks a lot more like living a life of thanksgiving and rest. and it’s from this pace of rest that I truely understand the grace and the goodness of God.
Yes, Jesus has come to give us fullness of life. But that fullness can only be enjoyed when we drink from the fountain of life, that is Jesus himself.
I pray that the thoughts and word’s expressed on this site would lead you closer to the source of the fullness of life. And as you encounter Jesus you will come to a place where you can truely say “I thirst no more”.
